This will be the nineth consecutive year that the International Print Exchange has run and every year sees the number of submissions grow with the last two by a huge 50%.
The exchange was first initiated by Green Door Printmaking Studio, an environmentally sound open access artists’ studio based here at Banks Mill, following their participation in the Oregon Ink Spot. They were so intrigued by the time honoured idea of exchanging prints between studios that they decided to see if they could organise something similar from their own studio.
IPE is an un-juried print exchange with all work received being featured in the exhibition. It has no assigned theme and is open to all printmakers throughout the world to celebrate the fine art of printmaking.
The public are invited to visit Banks Mill to view and buy an array of different prints from all over the world, and the exhibition will be open weekdays 10am-3pm and on Saturdays, 11am-4pm.
Join Green Door at their official launch event on Friday, 6 October from 5pm-8pm.
