Welcome to 'My Happy Art Box', a brand initiative run by artist Mandy Kay to bring art to children and adults who are suffering with their mental health during these difficult months of 2020 and beyond.
It is widely known that art relieves stress and anxiety. When you are focusing on a project and being creative this enables you to free up your mind for happy and positive thoughts and so distracting you from any worries and anxiety you might have. It can ease the sometimes constant mental and physical distress so often felt.
The Happy Secret Postcard Show is the first of the fund-raising campaigns and all money raised will be used to get the happy art boxes out to people who would really benefit from some creative time out. Each one contains art essentials for decorating your box and instructions for exciting crafty projects that you can enjoy for weeks to come.
Each original postcard donated will be sold for £15 to pay for one happy art box.
We are inviting artists and creatives from any genre anywhere in the world to submit a postcard sized piece of art on the theme of ‘happy’.
Each postcard must be a standard A6 postcard size (approx 14.8 cm x 10.5 cm). Work must be original and any medium can be used, and you can submit up to five pieces of art. Please sign and print your name on the back of the postcard. Please do not sign the front. You can also add the title, website, and contact details if you wish to the back.
Please add your contact details if you would like Mandy to contact you to confirm your donation has been received.
The deadline for receiving postcards is 20/01/2021.
Please be sure to package your artwork securely and add the correct amount of postage. Kindly post to the following address;

All postcards will be exhibited on the Happy Art Box social media platforms and website anonymously. Artists who have donated postcards will be revealed but not with their artworks until after the sale. For more details and information email Mandy.
