This year over the Easter holidays the public will have the opportunity to visit seven Banks Mill artists and makers as they sell and showcase their work at Markeaton Craft Village. The shop, which is occupying an empty unit at the village, will be a great addition to the courtyard and will compliment the other businesses there which include previous Banks Mill tenants such as Susan Hill Jewellery and Little Tins of Loveliness. The artists selling at the shop will be:
Kirstie Adamson - Magazine Collage Art
Kirstie uses colours and textures from recycled magazines as an alternative to paint and will be selling originals and prints as well as her new book; you can also enquire about her workshops too.
Stevie Davies - Contemporary Fused Glass
Alongside wall art and decorative and household items, Stevie will also be showcasing a range of colourful glass jewellery. Stevie also runs a variety of workshops from her studio at Banks Mill.
Paola De Giovanni - Meanmagenta Photography
Paola will be selling a number of framed prints from her photography and household items from the textile side of her business.
Kim Fowler - Artist & Illustrator
Kim will be selling a number of her pieces of artwork which feature on coasters, notebooks and in her jewellery, as well as original items of art and prints.
Pam Giovannelli - Artist
Pam's art mainly focuses on contemporary portraits which will be on sale, as well as the opportunity to commmission a bespoke piece.
Felicity Jackson - Artist
Felicity will be selling original watercolour paintings as well as prints, coasters and cards featuring landscapes and wildlife.
