Open Studios 2025 Success!

...,months of preparation and just that like! It's over!
Once again, weve had another fantastic Open Studios event. We welcomed over 900 people to our old mill building and enjoyed seeing the hallways bustling with art lovers and curious explorers. We kicked off the celebrations with our VIP event, starting at Dubrek Studios just next door, our VIP’s were treated to live music from Bex Johnstone and Tom Hawk and warm welcomes from our Head of Enterprise, Samantha Deakin Hill and the University of Derby’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Keith McLay.
This year’s event featured a vibrant mix of new and returning artists who represent a wide range of creative disciplines from ceramics and textiles to illustration, printmaking, and design, all of which show the variety and breadth of skill Derby’s creative community has to offer. Visitors also had the opportunity to take part in workshops, from art therapy to pottery, screen printing and even song writing!
Whether you watched a demonstration, bought artwork or just explored the building and enjoyed the relaxed, friendly and creative atmosphere that Banks Mill prides itself on, we would like to thank all our visitors and supporters for helping us to celebrate creativity in all its forms.
