Alan Goodwin x Kings Trust Award

The King’s Trust Awards has recently recognised young people from across England for their achievements at a ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza in Liverpool City Centre.

Seven young individuals and a group project from across England picked up commendations for their remarkable personal transformations in the face of significant challenges. The awards spotlight young winners who have overcome the odds to improve their lives and positively impact their communities. All English finalists now have a chance to be crowned as National King’s Trust winners during a special event at the Royal Albert Hall in May 2026.

Alan Goodwin – otherwise known as Stitched By Alan or…if you’ve been following his journey for long enough, “Alan off the telly”, after his appearance on the BBC’s Make it at Market series.

Alan has been a super star tenant at Banks Mill, building his business from the ground up and working non-stop whilst building creative friendships, supporting with student engagement at the University of Derby and just being a genuinely lovely guy, so it’s no suprise to us that Alan is a winner.

On his win Alan has said “I’m so honoured and proud to announce that I’m England’s @kingstrust & @tkmaxxuk – @natwest enterprise award winner 2026! Thank you everyone who has supported me with creating this business and allowing me to shine! I love you all! It was so nice to share this achievement with my best friends over this wonderful weekend. Thank you for being my biggest fans in the world. I even got a chance to give @max_balegde his own hoop of his dog Eevee!”
