COOGAL

Scott Trelfa, owner of Stage Left Lux has recently created a brand new site designed specifically to boost opportunities for artists and creatives that’s fair and transparent.

Scott says “I wanted to do this for a long time, and after hearing horror stories of people’s Etsy shops being shut down, and myself incurring huge fees on platforms such as eBay and Etsy, I wanted to create something that had a much fairer approach, and a marketplace run by artists for artists.   

I thought how can I help out other artists and makers in a way which supports them? 

So, I created COOGAL – the name is a mashup of Cooperative and Gallery – I want it to be a friendly marketplace, somewhere where people can support each other and share ideas as well as being able to display their work for sale with low fees and commission. 

Coogal’s website only went live just over a week ago, I’ve currently got about 20 artists signed up as vendors. I’m just waiting for them all to list some of their artwork for sale.  

To make it work well and to make it engaging for website visitors, I need a mixture of different types of art, including painted art, original prints, ceramics, sculptures, home decor, as well as textiles and clothing.”
