Ben and Ross, the duo behind Dice Ideas have just returned from their residency in the beautiful holiday destination of the Fari islands in the Maldives. Dice ideas were invited by the hotel resort Patina, to take up residency in March 2024. We asked the guys how they got on and how the experience has impacted their business.
“A resort in the Maldives (Patina) caught some of our videos on social media and contacted us back in summer 2023 to be the artists in residence for a few weeks during March 2024. They felt that we had a unique enough art form to be engaging for their guests, and we could therefore contribute to the programme of activities available on the island. The idea was to showcase some of our pieces, as well as offering workshops to any guests that were interested in having a go at creating a small dice artwork themselves. We created a couple of pieces while on site, and simply had to get some shots of the work on the beach and around the resort! It was a great opportunity for both the business and ourselves personally.
During our time, many guests were happy to share ideas about our project and what we might be able to do with Dice Ideas in the future. We learned a lot from the trip and look forward to focusing on a few more high-end sales in the future”
