Jenny Marshall wins Aa2A application to Loughborough University

From Oct 2025 to May 2026, Jenny Marshall will be an artist in residence at Loughborough University Art Department through the Aa2A scheme.

AA2A is an Arts Council England (ACE) Investment Principle Support Organisation (IPSO) that has been facilitating artists residencies since 1999. They are a transformative programme that fosters collaboration between further and higher education institutions and artists while supporting students as they transition from study to employment in the arts.

Universities and colleges host up to six artists for one academic year, allowing artists the opportunity to use facilities and resources they may otherwise not be able to access. This mutually beneficial relationship enriches the academic environment, provides valuable experiences for students, and helps artists to develop their creative practice.

Jenny says it was quite a process to go through, “submitting an application, portfolio,  project proposal, online interview. Etc.”

Jenny will be able to access and utilising the facilities at Loughborough University during the residency. Loughborough University has a range of facilities, equipment and expertise from ceramics and printmaking to painting, photography, wood and construction. Clearly there will be plenty for Jenny to get stuck into!
