Branston Council launches Pickle Pot Project

There are now 10 Branston Pickle Pot sculptures placed along a fun, walkable route all across Branston, the trail opened at the end of March 2026 and will remain in place for 12 months. The Pickle Pot Trail forms a key part of Branston Councils Greener Town Campaign, combining creativity, community involvement, and biodiversity to create something truly special for residents and visitors alike’. 

Two of the 10 Branston Pickle Pot designs that were chosen belong to Affiliate Member Heather Horsley, Heather said she was thrilled to have two of her designs be chosen for the trail – 

“One is called ‘Power Pollinators’ and the other is ‘Branston’s Buddleia Butterflies’. Another one of our Affiliate Members Jenny Marshall, has also had a design chosen to cover a Pickle Pot titled “Pickle One“. You can see Jenny’s design here

 

 

Branston Town Council comment  

‘This wonderful project, generously supported by our funding partners and local businesses, will bring vibrant splashes of colour across the town while also featuring carefully selected planting designed to attract bees, butterflies, and other vital pollinator species.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out today to celebrate the launch of the Branston Pickle Pot Trail! It was wonderful to see such fantastic community support and engagement throughout the day. 

We were delighted to welcome Cllr Monica Holton, Deputy Mayor of ESBC, alongside Cllr Peter Mason County Councillor of Staffordshire County Council and Jacob Collier MP, along with their partners and guests. Thank you for joining us and supporting this special occasion.

Branston Town Council is incredibly proud to have launched this exciting initiative in partnership with Making Trails, which will now be in place for the next year for everyone to enjoy.
