Rosie Yates – Illustrates New Miriam Margolyes Book!

As I come up to my one year anniversary of having my studio space at Banks Mill, I am currently working on probably the most exciting project of my career so far! When an email came my way asking if I was interested in illustrating a book, I jumped at the chance to do this- and when I was told that it would be for Miriam Margolyes you can imagine the little squeal I did!  

I have had the most amazing opportunity to illustrate Miriam’s new and upcoming book, The Little Book of Miriam, published by John Murray press. This has pushed my illustration skills way beyond what I am used to and is also my first dip into the work of book illustration. I’m afraid I can’t share any of the work yet, but the book is due to be published in September… so keep your eyes out for it then!  

Since moving into her studio a year ago, Rosie and her work have gone from strength to strength, working on private and commercial commissions and including illustrating a “Creative Eco-system Map” of Derbyshire to help showcase some of the work that has been achieved through the Create Growth programme.
