Vanessa Smith x Ivy Cove Studio

This January, Vanessa Smith of The Velvet Village, officially started her tattoo apprenticeship, joining resident tattoo artist Pippa Fox at Ivy Cove (Studio 3.1). 

 Vanessa will be working with Pippa 2 days a week to begin with, practicing drawing and finding her own style in tattoo design, with Pip offering her expertise and coaching her along the way.  

Having seen her fine art paintings, Pippa says she is keen to get Vanessa tattooing in just a few months’ time! After years of talking about this possibility, they’re both excited to be making it reality and working alongside each other! This also marks the start of Pippa’s vision for Ivy Cove, growing her own handpicked ‘tattoo family’. 

Also joining Ivy Cove in April is Jade Hopz Tattoo @jadehopztattoo. Ivy Cove is fast becoming a powerhouse of female tattooing talent, and we can’t wait to see where it leads.
