Our flagship event is BACK! Once again, Banks Mill will be opening its doors to the public and showcasing some of the best creative talent in Derby.
Our huge variety of creative businesses include members and tenants from across Derbyshire and cover a plethora of creative endeavours. Visitors to Banks Mill can expect to meet and explore the studios of painters, ceramic artists, dress makers, photographers, tattoo artists and printmakers to name but a few!
Open Studios kicks off on Friday 23rd November at 4pm. The evening begins with free drinks in the foyer gallery space where visitors can gather and browse the studio displays for each artist that will be taking part. We will also have live music taking place across the courtyard at our partner venue, Dubrek Studios which will be providing food and drink throughout the weekend.
On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th, Banks Mill will be open from 10am – 5pm for visitors to shop all day long. Banks Mill has welcomed so many new tenants this year that even regular visitors will have new artists and businesses to discover as well as some of our Affiliate Members who will be setting up in our vacant studios for one weekend only.
Open Studios offers the public a chance to look behind the closed doors of our creative practitioners and a chance to support small independent start-ups who offer products and services unlike any other big-name brands.

Please note there is no lift at Banks Mill so there is limited access to the ground floor only for less abled visitors.
Car parking is available free at the Enterprise Centre (Bridge Street) and Lonsdale House (Quaker Way). Local metered car parks include Chapel Street, Bold Lane, Brook Street and Ford Street.
