Kick start January 2026 with some thought for the planet…

The textile wall hanging of an emptied ocean, and the intriguing 3D mixed media sculptural tableau in this exhibition, relate to the ecology of earth, inhabitants, & exploitation, particularly the oceans & sea beds, being ‘scalped’  for  the profit of the few without scruples, who act at the expense of the many.

The creatures & life forms who are left to endure the devastation of man’s exploitative actions are symbolised by a disconsolate Neptune, feeling failure in his task of protecting the 7 seas, and the possible fate of his 3 mermaid daughters, who may fall victim to man’s insatiable harvest of Oceans life forms._View to find out!

The exhibition is in the ground floor  Foyer Gallery area at Banks Mill, (with ramped access for wheelchair users)___

Free Tours of the exhibition & Meet the Artist dates with light refreshments (weather permitting),will be held  on Sunday 18th Jan & Sunday 25th Jan 2026_11am – 4pm, when on street parking is not chargeable.
